For 2010, we will only be serving the 3rd Tuesday of the even numbered months (Feb., Apr, Jun, etc) at Creekside in Bloomington. We are trying to get an acceptable day for the odd numbered months at Creekside, and will publish that date once we get it. Our ministry with Loaves and Fishes remains a highlight for the people we serve and our members who serve. It is a good ministry, and one we do well! It seems summer has only begun and yet VEAP is already looking ahead to fall and their Back to School program. Peace will collecting school supplies beginning July 19-August 16. In mid-July school supplies will go on sale at local retailers. Peace has been asked to collect the following:

Athletic Equipment needed
Children’s Food For Thought (CFT) and Crosspoint Church in Bloomington will be sponsoring a used athletic equipment sale on Saturday, August 28, 2010. All proceeds from the sale will go to CFT and be used to meet the needs of students in the upcoming school year. CFT provides school lunches to Bloomington’s K-12 students whose household incomes are not low enough to qualify for federally funded meals, but whose parents struggle to keep up with lunch payments. Over 5000 lunches were served to students in need during the `09-`10 school year. There is a box in the Parish Hall if you have items to donate.
