For 2010, we will only be serving the 3rd Tuesday of the even numbered months (Feb., Apr, Jun, etc) at Creekside in Bloomington. We are trying to get an acceptable day for the odd numbered months at Creekside, and will publish that date once we get it. Our ministry with Loaves and Fishes remains a highlight for the people we serve and our members who serve. It is a good ministry, and one we do well Contact Dave Dynneson 952-829-9317 or sign-up at information desk.
April 20-Creekside Community Center-arrive at 5:15, serve at 5:30pm.
Peace will once again be participating in the FoodShare March Campaign. This year’s theme is “Be a Superhero in the fight against hunger.” The goal this year is to raise 12 million pounds and dollars. In 2009, visits to Minnesota food shelves increased more then 25 percent. More then one million Minnesotans live in households struggling to put food on the table. Bring your donations to the bins in the Parish Hall. While food donations are gratefully accepted, please keep in mind that Minnesota FoodShare can “stretch” your dollar and buy many more items, which is due to its special relationships with vendors. Check out the bulletin board for an example of what $10 can buy! We thank you for your consideration. If you would like to donate money, checks should be made out to Minnesota FoodShare.
