The mission of our youth program is, “to raise up generations of Christians passionately who are aware of and engaged in God’s movement to renew the world.” To that end, the confirmation program serves as a three-year hinge point whereby the faith formation of the kids changes hands from parents to the kids and their peers. Our goal by the end of this process is to deliver a team of students that both owns and acts on their role in God’s work in the world.

On Sunday, November 24 at 4:30-6:30 families with elementary age kids through

Who is Confirmation For?
This program is intended for students entering grades seven through nine who intend to confirm their faith and take an active role in the life of Peace Lutheran Church. However, we will work with anyone who would like to participate in this ministry. This program is not a required program to be involved in social, service, or sr. high programs at Peace. Rather, it is a requirement to be a voting member of the church.
Our Confirmation program has three main parts: education, service, and social. Over the course of three years, students will learn about the Old Testament, New Testament, and Lutheran takes on common issues. Through our many service opportunities at Peace and in the community, the students will apply what they have learned. Finally, we will host a variety of social gatherings and retreats to cement relationships within each Confirmation class.
Storyline: Grade Seven-Nine; Free; Lent
What is your student really passionate about? In what ways has God wired your student to interact with the world? How to you cultivate and support your student as they grow into those passions? These are the questions we’ll answer in the Storyline program. During the season of Lent, we’ll host workshops and foster conversations with parents and students that seek to unleash the God-given potential of our young people. To get involved, watch the bulletin, Partners Newsletter, and website.
Are you passionate about leading young people into a deeper relationship with Jesus? Then we’d love to have you as a Confirmation Leader! For more information, contact Jason Kramme.
