Sunday Adult Education

Sundays, 10:45-11:30am

Sunday Adult Education in the Parish Hall from September through May. We present a wide variety of topics and guest speakers during this education hour.

Our February, 2018 Adult Education topics are:

  • February 4— Preview and discussion of the annual congregational meeting.
  • February 11—Annual Congregational Meeting of Peace Lutheran Church. All are welcome!
  • February 18—Peace member Lori Most will present about her mission and ministry experience in Togo and Peace member Mary Kautto will present about her ministry experience in Serbia.
  • February 25—“A Christian Response to Gun Violence.” In an e-mail last week following the news of the mass shooting in Florida, the ELCA presiding Bishop, Elizabeth Eaton, lamented the deaths of those at Douglas High School and exhorted us: “all of us, including the church, must take a look at ourselves. How are we cultivating a culture of violence, hatred, anger and fear, and how can we participate in building a counter-culture where people can experience God’s intended peace and abundant life for all?” With the help of a guided video presentation, we’ll respond to Bishop Eaton’s urging and discuss this violence among us.
