Peace is now in the process of accepting registrations for summer camps, including Vacation Bible School, Youth mission trip, and SportsLife Camp. What does growth mean to you as a member of Peace? Come and fellowship with Pastor Nelson and other members, and share your ideas for growth at Peace Church. Events are limited to 10 people. Sign-up sheets are in the Narthex area or you call the church office to register.

Willow Creek is a large community church near Chicago. Annually, in early August, Willow hosts a leadership summit that is simulcast to 140 locations across North America. Peace staff and members have attended this conference for the last several years and have always come away educated, enriched and renewed. The content is focused around leadership in the church and in business world. The conference this year is Thursday August 6th and Friday August 7th from 9:00am to 5:00pm. We will attend at Cedar Valley Church (by the Mall of America). A sample of this year’s speakers includes: Bill Hybels, Founder and senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church; Tony Blair (Videocast), Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom; David Gergen, Political analyst for CNN and PBS and former White House adviser to four presidents; Dr. Tim Keller, Founder and senior pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Manhattan, NY; Harvey Carey, Founder and senior pastor of Citadel of Faith Covenant Church, Detroit, MI; Chip Heath, Author and professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business; Bono (Videocast), Lead singer of U2 and activist in the fight against AIDS and poverty in Africa; Andrew Rugasira, Founder and CEO of Good African Coffee and African trade advocate; Dr. Wess Stafford, President and CEO of Compassion International; Jessica Jackley, Co-founder of Kiva.org, a micro-lending website.
